We had a great nights sleep as we were both exhausted having not slept the night before. The original plan had been to be up at 6-6:30 but we didn’t wake up until around 7. Heading downstairs we found Seth and Kathy already up and everything was ready us. Seth was up and dressed in all his cycling gear ready to join us for the start of the ride.
Seth joined us for the first 20 or so miles of our ride and showed us the beautiful West Orange Trail. It was a great experience riding with him as he knew everything about the local area and could point out lots of things.
After waving goodbye to Seth we headed in to Apopka and tried to sort out some food. We were thinking of heading in to a supermarket to buy some food so I looked on my GPS and found a Mexican supermarket. I went inside and tried to find ingredients but there was a small delicious smelling restaurant inside and so we decided to eat there. Charlotte was happy because they had unlocked wifi and so could use her iPhone and call people back home.
After lunch we headed north and saw an AT&T so pulled in and got Charlotte a US SIM card. It took a while but eventually we had a phone number to call people with. After that we kept riding up and pulled in to Lisa, our couchsurfing host, ranch. We then spent the next few hours listening to some amazing stories before heading out for an amazing dinner at her local Italian restaurant which was run by an incredibly interesting couple who spent a good time horrifying Charlotte with stories about all the various wildlife that we might run in to.
