I have received a few e-mails and queries from people over the last couple of months asking how they can support the trip. I planned on adding something to the website and have eventually got the free time to knock it off my uncontrollable to-do list which includes things like make a gear page, update the blog, work out a way to centre the elevation profiles shown on posts, do some route planning, catch up on my email backlog and contact people we’ve met so far. It’s definite constant battle to stay on top of it!
Anyway, enough rambling. For those who want to support the trip I’ve expanded the contact page in to a support page. You can still send messages to me and Charlotte through it, but I’ve now added a way to donate using Paypal. If you don’t know what Paypal is or don’t have an account, it’s no problem. If you have a credit or debit card it should work. The process is all handled securely by Paypal and I am not told your credit card details. I am told your name as well as address and any message you choose to leave. If you don’t want to leave your address, it’s no problem, but I am asking for it so I can pick something up from the area I’m in at that time to send to thank you for your contribution.
As well as supporting the trip through donations, I am also looking forward to getting ideas for route suggestions and must see and do things on the way. In the same way, if I’m going to pass through your area and you want to meet up then let me know. If you keep an eye at the Google Latitude widget at the bottom of every page you can see where I am and I’ll try to tweet the general direction where I’m heading to more often.
