I’d arrived in Pompano on Tuesday and had originally thought I’d be rolling out on Thursday. Having enjoyed my time there and with Noelle’s kindness, I stayed until Sunday, but then it was time to go. It was lovely relaxing, playing scrabble and going for a ride down the intracoastal with Tom, but the semblance of a plan had formed during my time and I’d got a new mirror so it was time to roll.
I’d been in touch with Patrick
After a rest day with Jim & Ju, it was time to head up to Miami. I spent the morning relaxing and giving some thought to the next few weeks. I’m at a stage of the trip which is a little difficult to plan for. Being in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area, I’m strongly tempted to try to find my way over to the Caribbean, and at least the Bahamas. It’s an idea that I’ve had off and on since talking with Pete
I hoped to get up in time to speak with Earl, but he was out before I woke up. Karen was at home and we hung out until she had to head to work. After I’m done with the US, I’m
While the ride to Minneola the day before was the end of the loop, the true end of part 1 awaited me in Orlando. Since I had departed from Tampa in May, Alix, the friend who had inspired me to do this trip, had got married to Inseul and moved to Orlando. Therefore, I had to get to Orlando, a 40-50 mile ride depending on how direct I went.
A relaxing morning talking with Kathy & Seth was followed by us all getting ready to ride. While they both have individual bikes they prefer to ride their
